With the 15th Sonar festival just around the corner, co-director Enric Palau spoke to DJsounds from up on the roof terrace of their Barcelona HQ. Enric works alongside fellow co-directors Sergio Caballero and Ricard Robles, and in this clip Enric traces their growth and touches on the team’s ‘off-the-beaten-track’ selection process – something that always seems to source exciting new sights and sounds, or even old ones in need of re-discovery. He also reveals some background behind 2008’s themes, namely the "female factor" and "hybridism". Hybridism definitely comes alive in their distinctive viral video campaign (check the links!) and it promises to rage on throughout, as Enric points out… What, for example, will be the reaction to the eclectic selection of Rob Da Bank, Madness, Diplo, Justice, Boys Noize and Erol Alkan, who are all taking to SonarClub during Friday night?
