Anne Savage was in cracking form this year during the Hard Dance Awards. The versatile DJ/producer and presenter dropped a bomb of an audiovisual set that was not only a first for her and the awards, but also for the 4,500 clubbers celebrating on the night at a packed Brixton Academy in London!
Anne has worked closely with the well-loved annual event since it was launched in 2003 – and the ingenious club queen certainly pulled out all the stops to deliver a uniquely ‘Savage’ show this year. With Anne centre stage on the DVJs, spinning pounding, high impact DVD tracks that were precision mixed and projected live onto a huge screen, she was furthermore surrounded by a whirlwind of performers that were every bit as fierce as her beats. Always evolving as an artist, Anne also plays alternative/breaks sounds under her Dumb Blonde alias and will continue to embrace the hybrid CD/DVD decks to enhance her various performances this year. So listen and look out for more AV sets to come from Anne! (Words: LL)
