Weird: at some moments during the night, the Warp room (Café) sounded just as much dubstep as Benga downstairs! Quite a different crowd though...
Make no mistake: the Café was the room-for-one-night for the legendary Warp label, and it's 20th anniversary was celebrated in style!
Pretty hard to describe what Leila, Tim Exile and Clark sounded like... Hope you just believe us when we say it was weird'n'worth it.
After a nice and rather eclectic dubstep warm up by Starkey, the Bacardi room suddenly fell the man they were heading for: Benga! Wicked wobblin' dubstep, inventive and creative turntablism (it's all about 'basics and feelings'!), a mic to keep the crowd going and a lot of massive tunes. (heard that Skin and La Roux remix??!!) Haven't seen the room explode that hard the last few days, to be honest.
