With several huge singles hitting the sweet spot, including ‘Hollow’ and ‘Hate Myself’, plus a new album in the pipeline, local hero and La Tour label head, Pole Folder talks to DJsounds from Pioneer DJ’s truck at the 2009 City Parade, held in Liege, Belgium.

Yes, playing a ‘slightly different’ set to his normal club sound, Mr Folder (aka Benoit Franquet) climbed aboard to join around 24 other trucks that started out at Parc D’Avroy, before following the parade’s route to the grand closing party.

An extremely busy guy ever since the release of his debut album, Zero Gold, on Bedrock, and following on from last year’s Destinations compilation, Benoit is due to drop his second album – The Helsinki Accord. This will arrive on the back of a string of singles that have been released via La Tour Recordings and remixed by the likes of Sasha, Spooky, Robert Babicz and Gregor Tresher. Words: LRC
