DJsounds follows the Grammy award-winning artist Louie Vega through a day in Ibiza, from Ibiza Global Radio’s HQ to a pre-party at Savannah, in San Antonio, to the main club event at El Divino, across the island in Ibiza Town.

While his Roots gigs at Cielo and the Dance Ritual house parties in New York continue to burn strong, this year saw Louie’s first ever Ibiza residency – Soul Heaven presents Louie Vega & Friends – ignite Sundays at El Divino.

As you can see, the master at work and super-soulful Vega Records chief warmed up for these club sessions with radio slots – including this one featuring Lil’ Louis – plus regular performances at Soul Heaven pre-parties.

Here, our Lorna Cole not only questions Louie about everything from learning to spin in the 70s, to preparing for his Ibiza residency and making arrangements for a special, custom-built DJ booth, but also catches a few words with veteran house producer Lil’ Louis.
