Organised by the eclectic BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob da Bank, and this time around sporting an outer space theme, Bestival 2009 definitely satisfied its pledge of being ‘the year of the spectacular’…

Here with some highlights and interviews from the fun-filled fest, which drew around 40,000 space cadets to a sun-soaked Robin Hill Country Park on England’s Isle of Wight, is DJsounds’ presenter DJ Daisy Heartbreaker. So tune in now to savour the flavour.

First up we see Daisy chatting to Rob da Bank about the event and its theatre before she sets to bursting bubbles with Jedi DJ Tom Middleton.

Then she sits down alongside DJ Yoda to discuss his forthcoming album and other projects.

And, finally, there’s also an appearance by Stephen Dewaele from 2manydjs/Soulwax. Yes, Isle of Wight is home to several music festivals, but nothing else quite like this… Bestival 2010 will take place from 9th to 12th September. Words: LRC
