DJSounds’ Lorna Cole gets to grips with Joachim Garraud on the promenade in front of Cafe Mambo. In part 1 of this interview, subjects under discussion range from his Ibiza sets and DJing with David Guetta to his on-demand album concept and relationship with Pioneer.
Also included in the footage are excerpts from Joachim’s pre-Pacha sunset set at Mambo.
Interestingly, Joachim explains the ideas behind his debut solo album, Invasion, which involves creating a ‘user-generated’ CD track listing and downloading customised artwork, all on demand from joachimgarraud.com.
Online, professional studio-quality (wav) source files are offered at a super hi-res of 96 khz for the same price as an mp3!
There are even guest selections available of Joachim’s album made by other DJs such as Guetta, Carl Cox and Laidback Luke.
A glimpse at the future from Joachim Garraud, check it out!
