Your DJsounds - Ko Matsushima

Fri 15.10.2010

Ko Matsushima maneuvers his way round the CDJ-2000s and DJM-2000 with ease.  It's hard to believe that the DJM-2000 was only released at the start of the summer.

Watch Ko rock the different beat effects including reverb, roll, slip roll and even slipping in a tasty feedback loop using the echo. He doesn't stop there, making full use of the INST effects, especially the pitch and the white noise generator. He then takes things to another level utilizing the DJM-2000's dazzling touch screen to control his Ableton triggering samples using the MPC style buttons. Nice work Ko!

Ko Matsushima has played at almost every majour club in Japan (ONZIEME, Womb, GRAND Cafe, SAZA-E, WORLD, UNDER LOUNGE, to name a few) and he is a Pioneer demonstrator in Japan. His music style is centered around electro house, tech house as techno sound, but what sets him apart from other DJs is excellent mixing and effects.

He has a monthly party in Osaka (2010's guest DJs are Chris Lake, Thomas Gold, Claude VonStroke , Zombie Nation and more).
