Cristian Varela (yes, no 'h') is an acclaimed heavyweight techno DJ from Spain, based in Madrid. An inspiration within the techno community, he is lorded particularly by Carl Cox, for whom he played at The Revolution Continues at Space.
He has had a great summer in Ibiza this year playing at Eden and hosting his own one off night at Space, Cristian Varela and Friends.
In the clip, DJsounds talks to him about his friendship with Carl and how his classical music training has influenced and inspired his sound.
