DJsounds goes backstage at The Big Chill festival to meet the great Dane of emotional electronic music – Anders Trentemøller. It’s just a couple of hours before his main stage appearance and Trentemøller is at Eastnor Castle Deer Park in Herefordshire, UK, to perform Live in Concert with his band, Mikael Simpson (on guitar/bass) and Henrik Vibskov (on drums). Trentemøller’s Live in Concert EP is out now on Poker Flat and, as DJsounds discovers, he’s due to start working on a follow-up to his hugely successful debut album, The Last Resort. So click on for info… And there’s more, because the maestro, who produces/performs everything from cinematic electronica to indie rock and has remixed the likes of Moby, Pet Shop Boys and Röyksopp, is also into scoring films… and for some pretty big players! This year Trentemøller has won several Beatport Music Awards (including Best Chill Out Artist and Best Electronica Artist) and once again he’s been nominated in Ibiza’s DJ Awards for best Electro House DJ, a title that he won in 2007.
