Roger Sanchez gets hands on with the new CDJ-2000 and demonstrates some of its potential for looping.
He also discusses the creative possibilities of its direct approach, of having all the tools right upfront and immediately accessible.

Out of 5 videos I have not seen anything outstanding. From Roger Sanchez I expected something much more exciting than just showing how you can cut a loop in half a few times and then return to the beat.
Sorry but this won't be impressing a lot of people. And it's not Roger's fault. The days of high priced hardware are gone and I believe Pioneer missed the mark in the sense that they are too late. The CDJ-1000MK3 should have been the CDJ-2000, but instead Pioneer tried to milk the CDJ to get more money out of the industry and sat back for a few years. There lays the failure.
Two solid turntables and software + MIDI and MIDI devices will now continue to lead the way of those trying to push boundaries. For touring DJ's with set playlists who still wish to play their CD's and or music from USB key, this will probably be a nice unit, but again, with the benefits of software at a fraction of the price, who wants to spend so much to see their investment be outdated 3 or 4 years later?
You had a good run Pioneer, now its time to hit the lab once again.
Interesting... wasn't the Beat Cutter available on the original CDJ200??? Looks like it's made a return.
