On day 2 of 10daysoff we meet Mark Farina, one of our favourite Americans when it comes to chicago house, acid jazz, grooves and downtempo.

Growing up in Chicago, housemusic has always been around: in his early days he went recordshopping together with Derrick Carter... (hence the dj Sneak- and Carter alike house on his Fabric 40!).

Mark Farina found an extra direction: since 1996 (!) he's putting out the highly respected Mushroom Jazz series on the OM imprint.

His selection of quality funky instrumental hiphop, downtempo, soul and blunted jazz is delicious, time after time.
