DJsounds caught up with the colourful Steve Aoki at his wild Dim Mak showcase held at Texas' South by South West music conference.

DJ and producer, Aoki, is famed for discovering acts such as Bloc Party, the Gossip, Klaxons and The Bloody Beatroots and is responsible for pushing that glitchy, broken electronic dirty sound, when he's not being a fashion designer or magazine editor.

In the clip he shouts about his new album and about the artists he's signed to his label and we hear from one of his acts, The Crystal Method who don't hesitate to tell us how much they love the CDJ-2000s and using just a USB key to play. He also tells us about the importance and diversity of South by South West.
