In this clip we hang out with Tom Budden, the head honcho of ALiVE Recordings, as he plays in Romania. This brief video shows his journey leaving the UK and rocking Kristal. Note that Tom does his homework on the plane preparing his tracks in rekordbox for use on the CDJ-2000s that night! This enables him to work out cue & loop points, add artwork and set beat grids for quantized looping and cueing.

Multi-talented Tom Budden has residencies at High Tide and Release in Southampton and he regularly DJs at Cocoon at The End and Jaded at AKA. His skills have earned him sets alongside the likes of Steve Bug, Steve Lawler, James Zabiela, Nic Fanciulli and Sven Vath.

A number of tracks in the clip come from Tom's ALiVE label, including his smash last year "The Tree Dance" which was a Hawtin and Dubfire staple.
