Pushing a Funk driven sound inspired by original slamming House masters Todd Terry, Masters at Work and Roger Sanchez (who subsequently signed them to his label Stealth) and updating it to make their own, Brighton based Ben Prok & James Fitch have come along way in the last 5 years.

Meeting over a mutual love of the beats at the record shop that James worked in, the duo have a chemistry that has been igniting dancefloors the world over whether its behind the decks or the mixing desk.

DJsounds catches up with the guys at Coalition in Brighton where they hold their monthly club night: Floorplay and discuss their label of the same name. They reveal how rekordbox and the CDJ-2000s are going to change the way they perform in the booth, particularly playing off a USB key each and the potential possibilities of preparing loops and hot cues in advance.
