Acclaimed local hero Xavier Fux is a DJ, producer, event organiser and head of his own label, Zulu Lounge. A trailblazing artist who has been actively nurturing the evolving electronic music scene in the region since he first started putting on raves in Mexico 20 years ago. In this interview with DJsounds’ Latin American host, DJ Daisy Heartbreaker, Xavier sits down in his studio to talk openly about his life, his work, DJ technology and Mexico’s journey into dance music. These days you can catch Xavier spinning everything from house and techno to dub and downtempo right around the world, with his favourite spots including Ibiza, Israel, Japan and Brazil. As a regular player on the White Isle, he furthermore presents his own radio show on the Ibiza Sonica radio station. Similarly versatile as a producer, Xavier is also part of the successful chart-busting Vatos Locos trance trio, alongside Celli and Nick Doof.
