Yes, in this clip it’s a hot Sunday night at Privilege as Xtravaganza entrepreneur DJ Alex Gold is interviewed by DJsounds’ Mel Sutton, while Ibiza favourite Pete Gooding gets the party started inside. The chart-topping Xtravaganza Recordings imprint has now been in the mix for over a decade, and in this clip Alex explains how the concept was initially inspired by Ibiza and describes the very first time he played Privilege – then roofless and known as Ku.

Sharp operator Alex also gives DJsounds the lowdown on how his cosmopolitan Xtravaganza club night has evolved, and how his multi-million selling label is also moving with the times, complete with Alex’s own cuts such as the ‘Reaction EP’ and ‘Energy Bomb’. During his 2008 Sunday sessions at the giant club, Alex was joined in his island Xtravaganza by a wealth of support DJs such as Adri Tur, Oliver Lang and Alex Miles.
