This month’s launch of DJsounds in Latin America sees the Japanese DJ/producer and head of SAW Recordings – Satoshi Tomiie – interviewed in Mexico City, as our newest host, DJ Daisy Heartbreaker, delivers her first report from the scene… So we’re at the newly opened club Zoon, at an event promoted by Crossfader Productions, with Daisy covering a major stop on Satoshi’s recent tour. And, before hitting the booth, it’s here that Satoshi sits down with Daisy to speak of the energy and excitement of the region, advances in digital DJ technology and his studio techniques. Production-wise, Satoshi’s current output under his Mes moniker – ‘Madrugada’ – is out shortly on SAW, with a remix by Toby Tobias. This track initially featured on his 2008 Renaissance Masters Series mix compilation, and you can hear it right now in the clip. Locked firmly into the electronic scene, fresh from such party nerve centres as Sao Paulo, Brazil, Buenos Aires, Argentina and Santiago, Chile, DJ Daisy Heartbreaker returns soon to DJsounds with the next episode from Latin America, so stay tuned for more.
