As the mammoth street event continues to ‘make love’ in new locations, the dates for 2008’s Loveparade, to be held in Dortmund, Germany, should be revealed next month. But in the meantime why not check out what happened when DJsounds took a trip on the Ministry of Sound float at the 2007 Loveparade, which took place on 25th August in Essen… Founded in 1989, in Berlin, by Dr. Motte as a progressive demonstration where people could give peace a dance, the world-famous Loveparade has certainly had its ups and downs in the past. However, the current organisers of the parade estimate their Essen (Love is Everywhere) edition, as with their 2006 (The Love is Back) Berlin instalment, attracted over a million party people. The Loveparade team naturally has big plans for the future of this eye-popping electronic music happening, which will traverse Germany until at least 2011… Enjoy! Words: LRC
