EFX whiz kid Rik Parkinson shares another tip for the EFX-1000… the 'EFX Kill'... Says Rik: So, a cool little feature on the EFX-500 that the EFX-1000 does not have is the 0dB isolator. Well, with this trick, you can actually re-create this feature on the EFX-1000. First get a track playing, and ensure the EFX-1000 is activated on that channel via the send and return loop. Enable echo, pull the time/bpm pot all the way up to 1, set your depth to minimum, and leave your character set to 12 o'clock. Select the frequency you want to isolate and lock the FX with the trigger, then when you move the mix pot from original to effect you will isolate your desired frequency.
